Residential Program

La Amistad provides comprehensive care for individuals facing complex mental health challenges. Residential programs can help individuals who require a higher level of care than traditional outpatient services. We create a safe environment where individuals can receive assessments, personalized treatment plans and evidence-based therapies for lasting improvement.

What is Residential Treatment?

During this phase of recovery, individuals live at our specialized treatment center for several weeks or months, depending on the intensity of therapy required and the specific needs of the patient.

This type of treatment is typically recommended for individuals who need a higher level of support and structure than outpatient services provide. It serves as a bridge between crisis stabilization and Partial Hospitalization Programs or Intensive Outpatient Programs.

Some key features of our residential treatment program include:

  • Intensive Therapy: Residential treatment offers intensive therapy and support to individuals dealing with mental health issues, substance abuse problems or co-occurring disorders. Therapy options include individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy and other evidence-based models.
  • 24/7 Support and Supervision: A significant advantage of residential treatment is constant support and supervision provided by a team of trained professionals. This constant availability helps individuals through difficult times and keeps patients safe during the recovery process.
  • Structured Environment: We maintain a highly structured and controlled environment designed to promote healthy habits, routine and accountability.
  • Individualized Treatment Plans: All individuals in our facility receive a unique treatment plan tailored to their needs and circumstances to target specific issues and goals.
  • Transitional Planning: After completing our residential program, some patients may step down to our Partial Hospitalization Programs or Intensive Outpatient Programs. Our staff helps patients transition smoothly to lower levels of care and back to daily life after treatment.

Residential treatment can be a transformative experience for patients seeking recovery from various mental health or substance use disorders. By providing a safe and supportive environment, we allow individuals to focus on their healing journey and gain valuable skills and insights to achieve long-term recovery. Our compassionate and experienced team is committed to providing the highest quality of care for all patients.
